 nicities and cultures. The objects of devotion have been breathtakingly va
 ried\, from godlike entities to natural forces\, inanimate forms and the a
 bsolutely formless. Devotional relationships have covered a range of human
  possibilities\, from spousal to filial.\n\nIndia's rich and venerable cla
 ssical arts\, sciences\, literature and cultural traditions owe their orig
 in\, depth and variety to the creative outpourings of devotion of countles
 s men and women since ancient times. Drawing from and continuing this trad
 ition\, Wedded to the Divine is a short collection of devotional poems ded
 icated to a formless love.\n\nPurna Sen is a former scientist turned write
 r and poet\, living in the United States and Germany for the last twenty-t
 wo years. She has made it her life's mission to reclaim her heritage and d
 elve into the spiritual fabric of her ancestry and the cultural inheritanc
 e that she lost during her post-independence upbringing.
